A daily list of proposed Federal Government procurements estimated to
exceed $25,000. Also contains lists of subcontracting leads, sales of surplus property,
and foreign business opportunities. Subscriptions may be made through the Superintendent
of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402. You can also access
the CBDNet at http://cbdnet.gpo.gov . CBDNet is the
official Free online listing of Government contracting opportunities which are published
in the CBD.
"U.S. Government Purchasing and Sales Directory"
Provides a listing of products and services bought by all Federal
agencies, keyed to the purchasing offices that buy them. Also provides information on
Government sales of surplus property. Available from the Superintendent of Documents, U.S.

"Subcontracting Opportunities with DoD Major Prime
Contractors"
Provides company name and address, product or service line, and name and
telephone number of company's small business liaison officer for DoD prime contractors
that have plans and goals (set forth in their prime contracts) for subcontracting with
small business and small disadvantaged business concerns. Available from the

Procurement Marketing and Access Network (Pro-Net)
Pro-Net is an electronic source of procurement information for
and about small businesses. It is a search engine for contracting officers, a marketing
tool for small firms and a "link" to procurement opportunities and important
information. It is designed to be a "virtual" one-stop-procurement-shop.
Pro-Net is an Internet-based database of information on small,
disadvantaged, 8(a) and women-owned businesses. It is free to federal and state government
agencies as well as prime and other contractors seeking small business contractors,
subcontractors and/or partnership opportunities.

"A Handbook for DoD and Small Business: Forging a
Partnership Through EDI"
The purpose of this handbook is to acquaint small business with the
concepts of electronic data interchange (EDI) and how EDI will be used in the future by
the Department of Defense to conduct business. The handbook introduces the reader to EDI,
discusses how and why EDI is used in business, and explains what is needed to start using
EDI in a small business. Available for purchase from the National Technical Information

"Department of the Army's Electronic Capabilities"
The Army fully supports Electronic Commerce (EC) and its wide range of
procuring government commodities electronically. Ninety-four percent (94%) of our
contracting sites are Interim FACNET certified which allow small businesses to conduct
transactions via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). These type purchases are exclusively
designated for small businesses procuring within the micro-purchase threshold ($2500 to
$100K). In addition, we are taking full advantage of the INTERNET technology while several
of our contracting activities have bulletin boards (BB) on the net. The business
opportunities under these BBs can be found at the "Business Opportunity Section"
of the Armys home page (http://acqnet.sarda.army.mil

"Department of the Navy's Electronic Capabilities"
Marketing information is now available from the DoN Market Research
Information Service on the World Wide Web (WWW). The database will help prospective
contractors determine which supplies and services are being purchased at navy and Marine
Corps contracting centers located throughout the United States. In addition to this
marketing information, the DoN Long Range Acquisition Estimates is also on the WWW. The
Internet address is http://www.abm.rda.hq.navy.mil/

"Department of the Air Force's Electronic Capabilities"
The Long Range Acquisition Estimate (LRAE) is a searchable database,
which covers over 2,000 projected "Requests for Proposals", with buying
activities, estimated dollar amounts, award dates, points of contact and other information
potential suppliers need to formulate marketing strategies. Information on the LRAE is on
Department of Air Force home page. The internet address is
http://www.safsb.hq.mil/index.html .
With this system, small businesses can identify all Air Force
activities, with a description of what they buy, current contacts, addresses and telephone
numbers. An E-mail capability between all users and counselors is available, as is an
extensive electronic library for downloading reference and training materials. Real-time
conferences are conducted with recognized experts on marketing specific activities and on
areas of special interest.
