The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (TDA) is organizing a tour of several U.S. cities for U.S. Ambassadors and senior commercial officers in the Caspian region. The tour will take place April 30 to May 6, 1999. The delegation will brief U.S. businesses on the latest project developments in the area, and businesses will have the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with these senior U.S. Government officials.

U.S. Ambassadors to the following countries will take part in the tour:

  • Armenia
  • Azerbaijan
  • Georgia
  • Kazakhstan
  • Turkey
  • Turkmenistan
  • Uzbekistan

Sectors to be highlighted include: oil and gas pipelines, water and wastewater, power, telecommunications, transportation, and support services, including hotels, food processing, and retail facilities.
