USDA APHIS NBCIUSDA APHIS NBCII am pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Oraze has been selected as the new Director of our National Biological Control Institute (NBCI).
Michael joined APHIS in 1991 as Supervisory Biological Scientist for NBCI. He helped established NBCI's products, services, and programs. In 1996, he successfully guided NBCI's transition from the Office of the Administrator into PPQ.
Michael brings a rich mix of experience and training to his new position. In addition to his eight years service to APHIS, he managed an integrated pest management and biological control research program for the University of California at Davis and has earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration from American University.
