Asthma Events

May is Allergy and Asthma Awareness Month.  Plan an asthma awareness event in your community.

EPA’s Asthma Event Planning Kit has everything you need to plan an asthma event for your community. You will find ideas for planning events in: schools, hospitals, libraries, State capitol buildings, and other community settings.  But that’s not all. You’ll also get a sample proclamation, press release, local and regional contact lists, and a form for ordering free asthma materials for your event, such as videos, brochures, posters, coloring books, health curriculum, and much more.

Set aside May –Asthma Awareness Month – as the time to raise awareness of the indoor and outdoor asthma triggers. Hundreds of asthma awareness events will take place across the U.S. during May.  Make sure your community is included.  To feature your event here, download the PDF file of the Event Listing Form below, fill it out and fax it to Michael Pupjak at 703-247-6140.

You can call IAQINFO at 1-800-438-4318 to order a free copy of the Kit.  You can also request a kit electronically at iaqinfo@aol.com

Click on your state on the map below and go to the EPA Region to see what events are happening in your state.
