"Oklahoma City Red Hawks Baseball Game" on May 29, 2003, at
7:05 pm at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, OK. There
will be an asthma booth at the game to promote World Asthma
Day/Month, as well as materials on the Smoke-Free Home Pledge,
Arthur’s Hooray for Health, and there will be asthma
screenings available.

St. Luke’s Lung Institute is hosting a World Asthma Day
event on May 6, 2003 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and from 4:00
- 8:00 pm at St. Luke’s Diagnostic Treatment Center in
Houston, TX. The event will include free lung screenings,
pulse oximetry, and blood pressure. "Managing Your Asthma/Q &
A Sessions" hosted by the lung institute’s advanced practice

The Family Asthma Program at Children’s Hospital of Austin
is hosting an "Asthma Awareness Day" event on May 6, 2003,
from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the hospital’s 2nd
floor lobby in Austin, TX. The event will include activities
for the children, special appearances by guest speakers,
representatives from pharmaceutical companies, information
presented by a member of the American Lung Association, and
many other educational materials.

an Asthma: Take Control Health Fair on May 10, 2003 from
10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Baylor All Saints Medical Center in

asthma medications & triggers. There will be demonstrations on
peak flow meters & spacers, as well as education on how
weather effects asthma. Information on careers in respiratory

sponsoring a "National Asthma Screening Day" event on May
17, 2003, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the North Park
Center in Dallas, TX. Allergists and asthma specialists will
be present to screen patients for asthma. There will also be
information available about asthma and related issues.

The Harris County Hospital District is sponsoring a "Family
Asthma Workshop" on May 17, 2003 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
at the Ben Taub General Hospital: Neuro-Psychiatric Center in
Houston, TX. This workshop is designed to educate children
ages 5-15, their parents, and adults with asthma. Attendees
will have the opportunity to speak about asthma with doctors,
and they will enjoy FREE food and parking, activities for ages
5-15, and door prizes.

Safety Fair" on May 17, 2003, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
in Harrisonville, MO. The event will have a variety of

snow cones and clowns for the kids.

"3rd Annual Asthma Awareness Event: Lifting the
Burden of Asthma" on April 26, 2003, from 10:00 am to 4:00
pm at Monument Mall in Scottsbluff, NE. The days
activities will include asthma screenings, and educational
activities for children. Two child-size inhalers "I.M. Rescue"
and "I.M. Control" will be visiting with participants.

Center is sponsoring a Breathe Free in 2003 Asthma Fair on
May 6, 2003 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Primary Children’s
Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT. This event is being held
to promote asthma awareness in our community by providing
current asthma information and resources in an entertaining
and interactive event that will include: door prizes, free
asthma information, recent guidelines and therapies for
treating asthma, and games/activities for the whole family.

Permanente-Bellflower location in Downey, CA. The fair will

doctors. Attendees will be able to play "Wheel of Asthma," see
demonstrations of peak flow meters, spacers, and nebulizers.
