Arkansas
AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
ACTION: Notice of tentative approval.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY: Notice is hereby given that the State of Arkansas is revising
its approved Public Water System Supervision Program. Arkansas has
adopted an Interim Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule to improve
control of microbial pathogens in drinking water, including
specifically the protozoan Cryptosporidium, and a Stage 1 Disinfectant/
Disinfection Byproducts Rule, setting new requirements to limit the
formation of chemical disinfectant byproducts in drinking water. EPA
has determined

federal regulations. Therefore, EPA intends to approve these program
revisions.
