EPA's Regional Offices work directly with states and Tribes, usually through the agency with environmental and/or public health responsibilities. The Regional Offices transfer guidance and technical assistance, facilitate information sharing among states, and approve and oversee programs. They also administer grants for states and Tribes to assist in implementing programs.
