Analytical Methods Approved for Drinking Water Compliance Monitoring

Included below are various contaminants divided according to general classifications and specific regulatory rules. Within these pages, contaminants are listed alphabetically with direct reference to analytical methods which have been approved for compliance monitoring. Prior to using these methods to analyze drinking water compliance samples, laboratories must be certified by U.S. EPA or the state. Once certified, laboratories must analyze performance evaluation samples, use approved methods and undergo periodic on-site State audits.
