The final Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) rule was published in
the Federal Register in November 1998. The rule
requires water suppliers to provide annual reports on the quality
of their drinking water to their customers. This material provides
key information to states and Regions to guide their implementation
of the CCR rule. EPA has developed additional implementation aids
to assist States, EPA Regions, and community water systems (CWSs)
to comply with this rule.
The CCR Rule slide presentation is available for download as a
Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation or an Adobe PDF file. All
other files are provided in PDF format. You can download the
PowerPoint®
Viewer or Adobe
Acrobat Reader if you do not already have them. (Clicking on
either link above will take you to instructions for downloading
and installing the viewers.)
EPA has developed additional implementation aids to assist States,
EPA Regions, and CWSs to comply with this rule. Final versions of
these products are available on the Internet at http://www.epa.gov/safewater/ccr1.html.
