Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County Breaks Ground for a 50
home subdivision. TAMPA On Wednesday,
March 29, Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County held a groundbreaking
ceremony for a new subdivision in the Grant Park area of east Tampa. Land
acquisition and infrastructure (water, streets and electrical service) are
being funded by two HUD grants; specifically a $300,000 SHOP ( Self-help
Homeownership Opportunity Program) and a $262,000 Hillsborough County Community
Development Block Grant. Funds for new the 50 new homes will be provided
