HUD has an innovative plan for addressing the problem of homelessness in America. It’s called "continuum of care" and it addresses the complete needs of people who are homeless: shelter, food, counseling, job training, and more.
Several federal agencies have programs that help the homeless. Normally, these programs award grants to state and local agencies, who - in turn - provide the actual services. Learn more about them.
