      HUD wants to strengthen America's communities. The Teacher Next Door (TND) Initiative will offer HUD-acquired, single family homes to State certified, public and private (K-12) school teachers at a 50 percent discount. Teachers are an integral part of our communities and are often the most important mentors in a child’s life. Teachers reinforce the core values and basic skills needed for successful and productive adult lives. The TND program recognizes teachers for the value they bring to community and family life, and provides them with increased homeownership opportunities so that they can serve our most needy communities outside the classroom.  You can call 1(800)483-7342 for more information.
