Secretary Cuomo announced in a Press Release a new initiative to sell thousands of HUD-owned homes to local governments for $1 each. For more information, about this part of HUD's "Good Neighbor" program, please read the press release and the Office of Housing Notice.

OFFICER NEXT DOOR AND TEACHER NEXT DOOR 50% DISCOUNTS
Starting May 1, HUD's "Good Neighbor" initiative for Officer Next Door and Teacher Next Door participants will enable thousands of law enforcement officers and school teachers to buy HUD-owned homes for half-price in economically distressed neighborhoods in the school districts and jurisdictions where they work.
