GTMO’s senior class of 2000 to graduate today



 

 

Crystal Douglas
Short term goals:
Fly to Tennessee to stay with grandparents for a month and then go back to Fallon, Nev.
Long term goals: I will attend the community college in Fallon, Nev., in a year or so. I have no idea what I am going be:  architectural designer, computer programmer, biochemist, etc.
Awards and school involvement:
Salutatorian, honor roll several times, chorus, volleyball, swimming and diving.

 

 

 

 

 

Ambrosher Hall
Short term goals:
I am moving to Jacksonville, N.C., There I will find a place to live and a job. In August, I plan to attend Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, N.C.
Long term goals: I plan to transfer to the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla.  I plan to receive my doctorate of veterinarian medicine there and become a veterinarian.
Awards and school involvement: I have been on the honor roll several times and have lettered in basketball twice and swimming once.

 

 

 

 

 

Mariesa Haseltine
Short term goals:
Right after high school, I’ll be attending the City College of Chicago and working on getting my associates degree. I also hope to go to Disney World with my family and enjoy the wonderful days here in Guantanamo Bay.
Long term goals: Even after 13 years of an extraordinary education and such a large imagination ... I don’t know what I want to be. There are so many things I can do in life. I just might do everything.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tyriniesha Milton
Short term goals:
I will be working in GTMO until about the first of August. In the fall, I will be attending either Grambling State University in Grambling, La., or Lincoln University in Lincoln University, Pa.
Long term goals: I plan to major in biology. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in biology, I plan to go to graduate school
Awards and school involvement: Honor roll and GRA improvement.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Daphne Sconiers
Short term goals:
I am going on vacation for the whole summer to Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and San Diego and my plan is to have as much fun as I can! After my long vacation, I am going to come back to Cuba and get a GS job while I finish my associate’s degree in computers.
Long term goals: My long term plan is to get my degree and then go into the military as an officer. I want to work with firearms!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Robert Wilson
Short term goals:
Spend a week here, move back to Jacksonville, Fla., and spend a few months in an apartment while the house is being built. I will attend Florida Community College of Jacksonville.
Long term goals: Be a writer.
Awards and school involvement: Valedictorian, National Honor Society President, Homecoming and Prom King and voted most likely to succeed three years running.
