The main objectives of the Project
The Project is aimed to assist with the improvement of safety conditions and practices in the coal mining industry of Russia.
The main objectives of the Project are: a) eliminate hazards wherever and whenever possible; b) detect and abate hazards early, aiming to prevent their evolution and further realization; c) enhance the chances of survival of miners in cases of disaster events; and d) improve the capability for effective rescue and recovery efforts to save lives and property in cases of disasters.
The Project design recognizes the needs for modern safety equipment, and for structural changes to enhance the effectiveness of safety management.
Description of Services:
The services include assisting the Project Implementation Unit in:
preparing bidding documents and evaluating bids for the procurement of mine-wide environment monitoring system, portable safety devices (dust monitors, methane sensors etc.), personal protective devices (cap lamps, respirators), mine fire control system, ventilation and degassing systems.

Required:
