Russia 2000: A New Reality
What the election results mean for business
18 - 19 April 2000, London
The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre
The Russo-British Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of a major new event, Russia 2000, a two-day forum designed to shed light on Russia in the aftermath of Boris Yeltsin's dramatic resignation and the critical presidential elections scheduled for March 2000.
This conference follows Russia Towards the Millennium, the highly successful international conference staged by the RBCC at London Arena in June 1999. With an authoritative and high profile platform of speakers, including Boris Nemtsov, Alexander Shokhin, Lord Owen and Sir John Guinness, the conference attracted more than 500 delegates from the UK, Russia, USA, Scandinavia and elsewhere in Europe.
Russia 2000 will bring together leaders of the principal Russian political parties and coalitions, business leaders from Russia, the UK, North America and Europe, and opinion-formers from a broad range of backgrounds to discuss Russia at one of the most challenging political crossroads in its history. The impact that the handover of power will have on international trade and investment, its effect on the Russian economy, and the political legacy it will leave will combine to set the course of Russia well into the 21st Century. Incisive, well informed and deeply relevant, Russia 2000 is essential for anyone with a serious interest in Russia at the dawn of a new Presidency.
Russia 2000 will take place in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, the Capital's premier conference venue, only a stone's throw from the Houses of Parliament. The centre will provide a prestigious, convenient and ideally suited venue for this important event.
