An eleven-member State Interdepartmental Commission, formed by representatives of the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced a tender for the exploitation of three mineral deposits of Armenia: the Litchkvaz-Tey gold deposit, the Meghri granodiorite deposit, and the Artsvakar andezits and basalts field. The tender is open for both Armenian and foreign companies.
A non-refundable participation fee of 20,000 drams (around USD 40) must accompany the application for tender. Foreign contractors will be charged an additional fee of USD 50 per package to cover postage expenses. The application and all fees must be received by the License Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade by February 13. The commission will provide bidders with a package of geological data on the proposed fields and deposits by the end of February. Bidders must then submit a feasibility report with more detailed information to the commission in 15 days.
