Key Officers of Foreign Service Posts:
Guide for Business Representatives
Important Notice: As of October 1999, the June 1998 edition is the latest version of the "Key Officers of Foreign Service Posts." The Bureau of Administration regrets that it is unable to estimate when an update will be released. To contact the office which releases this report, please write to: Office of Multi-Media Services, Bureau of Administration, Room 1853, U.S. Department of State 20520-1853 or FAX: 202-736-4269. Foreign Service posts should follow up faxes with cables or memos to that office.
Hard copies of Key Officers, Department of State Publication 10484, are available from the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, DC 20402, Tel: (202) 512-1800
The Key Officers Guide provides the names of key officers at Foreign Service posts with whom American business representatives would most likely have contact.
Addressing Correspondence: Due to the rotational nature of Foreign Service assignments, it is most important that correspondence to a Foreign Service post be addressed to a section or position rather than to an officer by name.
