NRC TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING MAY 25 TO DISCUSS A
RISK-INFORMED APPROACH TO REACTOR CONTAINMENT SUMP ISSUE

Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with interested stakeholders on May 25 in Rockville, Md., to discuss risk information relevant to resolving issues with containment sumps, which are a major component of the safety-related water recirculation systems found in nuclear power plants. The meeting will be held in room O-10B4 in One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to discuss the issue with NRC staff and ask questions at designated points during the meeting.
