The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste
will hold a public meeting May 25 - 27 in Rockville, Md. The Committee’s
discussions will include, among other items, the Louisiana Energy Services
application to build a uranium enrichment plant in New Mexico, as well as
the NRC staff’s review of the Department of Energy’s technical
documents intended to support the expected application to license a high-level
nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada.
The meeting will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency’s Two White Flint
North Building, at 11545 Rockville Pike. The meeting will begin at 3:25 p.m.
on May 25, and at 8:30 a.m. on May 26 and 27.
