NRC TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON LICENSE RENEWAL
PROCESS FOR ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT 2

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, November 18, in Russellville, Arkansas, to discuss how the agency will review the application from Entergy Operations, Inc. to renew the operating license for Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 2, near Russellville. Members of the public are invited to ask questions and comment on license renewal issues the NRC should consider in its review of the application.

The meeting will be held in the Nebo Room of the Holiday Inn at 2407 N. Arkansas Road beginning at 7:00 p.m. The NRC staff will provide information on how the license renewal process works and how the public can participate in this process. The NRC received the license renewal application from Entergy Operations on October 15.

In addition, copies of the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 2 license renewal application are available at the Arkansas Technical University’s library, 305 West Q St., Russellville, Arkansas.
