Commission officials in the Region II office in Atlanta have announced the
assignment of Bobby L. Holbrook as the new Senior Resident Inspector at
the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant near Athens, Alabama.
Mr. Holbrook has more than 25 years experience in the nuclear power field. He joined the NRC in June 1989 as a Region II operator licensing examiner in Atlanta, Georgia, and administered examinations at General Electric, Westinghouse, and research reactor plants. For the past four years, Mr. Holbrook has worked as a Senior Project Engineer at the NRC Region II office in Atlanta. Prior to that position, he was the Senior Resident Inspector at the Hatch Nuclear Plant near Baxley in south Georgia. Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Holbrook had experience in the nuclear power industry as an NRC licensed nuclear power plant operator, control room supervisor, nuclear technology instructor, and startup test supervisor. Mr. Holbrook has a B.S. degree in Biology and General Science from East Tennessee State University. He and his wife Lyda live in Decatur, Alabama.
