Although meetings of the ACRS are open, they are not part of the agency's normal hearing process. The ACRS, an advisory committee group to the Commission, conducts
independent, highly technical reviews of safety considerations related to nuclear facilities.
While anyone may attend the meeting, the committee will consider only oral or written statements arranged in advance and limited to specific matters described in a Notice of Meeting
published in the Federal Register. ACRS meeting agendas, transcripts, and letter reports are available on the internet, at http://www.nrc.gov/ACRSACNW .
Those seeking information on opportunities to present oral statements or on schedule changes should contact Sam Duraiswamy, at 301-415-7364.
