NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting of its subcommittee on reliability and probabilistic risk assessment on November 18 in Rockville, Maryland.

The subcommittee will discuss the staff's proposed shutdown risk insights report and efforts to develop a low-power and shutdown risk plan. It will gather information, analyze relevant issues and facts, and then formulate proposed positions and actions for consideration by the Committee.

The meeting will be held in Room T-2B1 of the agency's Two White Flint North Building, at 11545 Rockville Pike, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
