NOTE TO EDITORS: MEETING DATE CHANGED

A January 21 meeting of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards has been rescheduled for January 25, in Rockville, Maryland.

The meeting of the subcommittee on reliability and probabilistic risk assessment will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Room T-2B3 of the NRC's Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The subcommittee will continue its review of proposed options to make more risk-informed 10 CFR 50.59 (procedures for licensees to make certain changes to their facilities, and conduct tests and experiments without prior NRC approval).

Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, were described in a Federal Register notice published on December 23.
