NRC ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS SUBCOMMITTEES TO HOLD JOINT MEETING JANUARY 26

Two subcommittees of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards will hold a joint meeting January 26 in Rockville, Maryland.

The meeting of the subcommittees on plant operations and on reliability and probabilistic risk assessment will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Room T-2B3 of the NRC's Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The subcommittees will continue their review of proposed improvements to the NRC inspection and assessment programs, including initiatives related to the development of a risk-based inspection program and performance indicators.

Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, will be described in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
